She Sells by the Seashore!

I left Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and traveled to Salvo as soon as they opened the island to non-residents.  Months earlier than a usual "school year summer". Life was weird in 2020; I was a teacher, schools were virtual, I was home, my son was home, we got a puppy, paychecks kept coming and I had almost nothing to do.... so I decided... I would start Highway 12 Shirts.  

Fast forward to 2025 and I am not teaching anymore, my son is graduating from Mt. Lebanon High School, I have activated my NC Real Estate license again and we will be in Salvo full time... until he goes off to Emerson College.  

Now rewind to my days WAAAY before Highway 12 Shirts on Hatteras Island.

My earliest memories are of Camp Hatteras summers. My family were members there when it was called Pea Island Resort and lived there all summer.  My parents were also teachers so "teacher summers" are a thing.

In the Tri Villages throughout high school and college, I hostessed at the infamous, original Down Under at the Rodanthe Pier. I also worked at Exotic Cargo, Surfside Casuals, Camp Hatteras Campground, Bluewater Grill and Top Dog. 

The world of Hatteras Island real estate for me began with my parents building, remodeling, buying and selling rental homes.  Then in high school I worked Surf or Sound Realty where I learned all aspects of the office side of the rental business: guests, owners, cleaners, and maintenance. 

I created a summer college internship with Hatteras Realty developing their summer programs for kids and families.  

I call the next six years, Real Estate 1.0.  Those are the years I was a realtor with Outer Beaches Realty in Waves.  In those years I received numerous positive testimonials from clients, developed a consistent and successful marketing database, exhibited professionalism and ethics as the base of my business.

She Sells by the Seashore! is the same slogan I used in Real Estate 1.0 and working with Surf or Sound Realty is a perfect match with their S's.  Love it!  

I’m ready for Real Estate 2.0 as I work to build my network that will hopefully include - you.
